Number plates fitted

New hood fitted, just got to sort out the side 3 off hood hooks either side, didn't want to fit these till I had the new hood just in case they didn't line up. I ended up using the screw on type hood fixings to the rear side so that I didn't damage the paint in that area.

Notek fitted

Note the crap rear light (till my new one comes)

Rear shield fitted, I later took off the starting handle bracket in this photo as it was in the wrong position.

Started to fit new dash, should be easy yes? well no it wasn't, the old dash had a 4 and a 6 fuse box, so i thought simple just drop the bottom one on the other side, bolted it all back up, and then found my ignition light stayed on and i had no lights, spent about 8 hours trying to sort this out, gave up in the end, removed fuse and called someone to come look at it (tomorrow).

Picked up new rear slave cylinders for the brakes as i had a leak on the one side when i inspected them the weekend, got those to change in the next day or two.

OK after not sleeping all night due to my bloody wiring I think I've sorted out (in my head anyway) whats up. I think the bottom 2 fuses on the right hand side are some how connected, this means the live wire going in is keeping the ignition on, i think this live wire is for the lights feed, when i took the old dimmer switch off i couldnt understand the wiring on it as it had been by passed to how it should have been, so i just left the wiring out for the time being to the dimmer but this live wire as to connect to the switch side of the lights (i think), I need to see why the bottom two fuses are linked and then connect the switch side of the lights to give the lights a live feed, sounds easy doesn't it, will let you know later today.

So its now later today and what a crap day, Guy didn't show up having wasted the morning waiting for him i decide to have a go myself, found out the new fuse boxes had spans across the back i didn't notice before, spent ages messing about but still couldnt get the lights to work through the proper channels, then i gave up when i tried to start the Kubel, yes it wouldn't start, so i guess I've disconnected something i shouldn't have and now i have a non running Kubel, all this from trying to change the dash over!!! So if it ain't broken don't fix it!!!!

So this is what a mess looks like!!!! over the years there have been so many wires added and disconnected its a mess, really thinking about ripping the lot out and starting from scratch.

I have just ordered a new set of seat covers for front and back, this will finish off the inside great.

Managed to sort wiring out without a complete rewire (at the moment i will do later), refitted the new dash (the cause of all the problems)

So now on to changing the 4 slave cylinders on the brakes, hope to do this tomorrow, then she is ready for a retest on the MoT, not going to fit my new rear light (thanks Larry and happy birthday poor old dear is turning 30 today) till I've passed MoT just in case i cock some thing up on the wiring again!

Same day a bit later on

Added ID tags to engine compartment, I have been looking forward to this event for months!
