Cut out of old repro parts to rear body 06/10/03

Note the original parts left in, shame some monkey cut it down and replaced it with a reasonable attempt at rebuilding, but why cut it down in the first place?, I have found no signs of rot anywhere, then to rebuild making it a 2 door and an inch to low is crazy!!!

Cant wait to drop my reconned gear box in!! But will wait till after all the respraying as been done.

New old stock swing arm dampers fitted instead of the modern conversion that was there before.

OK so I am a day or so away from welding, still got some cleaning up to do and bits to add to the repro panels but I just had to have a play to make sure it all goes together OK!

I bolted the rear inspection cover on so as to get the lever for the floor to Firewall, Have still got to weld the angled stiffeners to the underside of the floor and just a small area to clean up.

Tested new spot welder out on the side wall lid catch holder, well wicked tool!

Note Williams plastic hammer!!! yes he as been "helping" as he calls it! I had to retrieve rear bolts from the exhaust pipe, stop him touching the rough area's, Stop him dropping the hammer (real one) on his foot, take screw driver off him as he was about to gouge his Moms car etc etc etc!

14/10/03 did more cleaning up and welded bits to panels

Added parts to inner rear engine side wall

This is at the rear of the same panel showing the stiffener plate

Rear floor area stiffeners (locker compartment) I will be selling these stiffeners as new floor doesn't come with them.
